In the Continental GT Speed, Bentley has pushed performance to the limit, resulting in the most powerful grand tourer the company has ever made. This extreme performance comes at no compromise to interior comfort and luxury, however. Throughout the car, you will see evidence of the exquisite craftsmanship for which Bentley is famous, alongside motorsport-inspired styling.

With a 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine, the Continental GT Speed is the most exhilarating car in the Continental GT range, which also includes the Continental GT, the Continental GT Azure and the exquisite Continental GT Mulliner.

The Continental GT Speed has a sleek sporting look. All the exterior details that are normally chrome have been finished in a dark tint. That includes the wing vents and the dark tint front grilles. The front and rear lamps have been tinted to match, while stunning 22" wheels give the car even more presence. The optional Styling Specification, meanwhile, adds a streamlined carbon fibre body kit, which features a mirror-matched weave pattern for perfect symmetry.

Inside, you will see the ‘Speed’ emblem displayed on the treadplates, the dashboard and even the seat embroidery. The leather and Dinamica seats feature an exclusive Speed colour split which, thanks to the inclusion of the Colour Specification as standard, gives you a choice of all Bentley’s hide and carpet colours. Custom ‘Speed’ embroidery and Precision Diamond quilting add an even greater sense of dynamism. In fact, every aspect of this car’s design echoes its sporting heritage, from the sports-style graphics in the digital instrument panel to the sports pedals at your feet.

The Continental GT Speed delivers 650 bhp (659 PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. That’s enough power to take you from 0-60 mph in an incredible 3.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds).

But it’s not all about raw power. This is a luxury car too. Choose the Comfort driving mode and you’ll enjoy relaxed cruising, with the emphasis on ride refinement. But when you get the opportunity to put your foot down, selecting the enhanced Sports mode will recalibrate the engine, transmission and suspension for maximum exhilaration. You’ll even hear the W12 sports exhaust give off more of a roar.

Incredible dynamic handling

There is a suite of chassis systems at play to boost your driving pleasure. The Active All-Wheel Drive system gives you all the benefits of a rear-wheel drive car by default, only sending power to the front wheels when the system detects a loss in traction. The Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system keeps the car level, minimising body roll when cornering, without compromising on the refined ride you expect when cruising in a more relaxed manner. An electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) proactively varies the amount of torque sent to each rear wheel. This has the effect of holding you more tightly to the curve of the road, giving you even greater confidence when cornering hard. The car’s all-wheel steering system, meanwhile, offers benefits at both high and low speeds. When manoeuvring in tight spaces, the rear wheels steer in the opposite direction to the front wheels, drastically reducing the car’s turning circle. On the highway, however, they steer the same way, allowing you to change lanes quickly and confidently, whilst maintaining effortless progress.

Throughout the car, you will see evidence of cutting-edge technology, artfully combined with Bentley’s renowned craftsmanship. You can connect your phone using Apple CarPlay* and there is a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, for constant connectivity. Internet radio gives you access to thousands of stations, wherever you are. Mobile devices can be charged wirelessly or via two USB-C ports.

The optional Bentley Rotating Display is a breathtaking display of craftsmanship. It houses the central touchscreen, however at the touch of a button, it will revolve out of sight, to be replaced by a veneered panel housing three beautiful analogue dials – a wonderful reminder of what driving was like, not too long ago.

A wide range of driver assistance systems includes Bentley’s City Specification, providing features aimed at making urban driving easier and safer. It offers Traffic sign recognition**, Park Assist, a Top View Camera, Auto-Dimming Mirrors and Hands-Free Boot Opening. Outside the city, the optional Touring Specification gives you all the tools you need to enjoy the thrill of the open road. They include a Head-Up Display, a Night Vision Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist.

The Bentley Signature Audio system is fitted as standard, but there are options to upgrade even further. The Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system features 16 channels, while the 20-channel Naim for Bentley option offers truly unrivalled in-car sound.

The My Bentley smartphone app, meanwhile, gives you the ability to connect to your car remotely. You can use it to locate your car if you can’t remember exactly where you parked, or to check whether the windows are closed and the doors are locked. It can even alert you if your car is moved without your consent.

Despite the incredible standard specification of the Continental GT Speed, there remains a vast opportunity to configure it to your requirements. You can choose from 16 exterior colours as standard, but that is just the beginning. With the optional extended range and the satin and pearlescent finishes available from Mulliner, that number rises to over 80.

Inside, there are 15 primary hide colours and 11 colours you can choose for your secondary hide and Dinamica. Next comes Bentley’s wide range of veneers, comprising hand-finished high-gloss woods that can be accentuated with metal overlays, open-pore woods with a contemporary matte finish or any one of the technical finishes available, such as carbon fibre.

If you wish to go even further, Bentley’s personal commissioning division, Mulliner, can help you to create truly bespoke features for your car.
